You've likely heard that our thoughts become our beliefs, which become our actions, which ultimately becomes who we are. This is a fascinating concept that is written about in book after book and has been researched up and down. I admit, I have lately been working to overcome many negative emotions myself (the path to positivity isn't an easy one, is it?) and actively seeking the guidance of audiobooks, advice, and input from trusted friends and loved ones.
We are responsible for our feelings, even when "someone else" is making us feel this way. I admit, I have let myself think that way too many times, there's a bit of blaming going on in that thought, isn't there?! Perhaps you can relate.
Goal for the Week
Repeat the mantra "I am responsible" for every negative thought (even when it feels easier to blame the thing or person that it stemmed from). Your mind can only think one thought at a time, so replacing the negative thought with a positive one ultimately gives us control of our emotions and selves. #OwnItBaby #IAmResponsible
