Alysa helped me get prepared to become a pro basketball player and got me in the best shape of my life. She helped motivate me everyday to keep my body right. When I left Anchorage she had workouts prepared for me. If you want to really commit yourself to getting in tip top shape and ready for the season you should work with Alysa, not only in just the training sessions but listen to what she says about diet and taking care of your body outside of training as well. You will see results quickly!
I’ve been working with Alysa for a little over one year and a half. I met her during post-partum blues, with a “broken body” and a very dark cloud of low self-worth over my head. I am extremely honored and grateful to be her client. We have spent many hours adjusting proper form, fighting my fears, lifting weights, building strength, coordinating movement, discussing healthy habits, listening to my eternal rants... Alysa has taught me that the same work ethic you apply to a workout can easily be transferred to everyday life. Through her I’ve loved to embrace pain and adversity, I’ve learned to pace myself, to push harder when I’m out of breath, to laugh it off, to kick some “ass”. Alysa has saved me from the demons of depression and restored my happiness as I learned to be mentally fit. She is an advocate, a friend, a listener, a role model, and a mentor. After all these months there are only two options: make progress or make excuses. I choose making progress by showing up for training. Alysa is my accountability, my life-line. Beau Taplin “Unstoppable” best describes Alysa: “She was unstoppable not because she did not have failures or doubts, but because she continued on despite them”.
